David Russell — one of the few living protégés of Andres Segovia — is probably the most glorious sounding classical guitarist in history. His tone and expressivity are unmatched imho. His technique and phrasing have only blossomed as he’s aged.
I was incredibly fortunate to study with Christopher Parkening, another great Segovia disciple. It has been many years since I practiced my guitar regularly, but stumbling on these videos reminds me to play more frequently.
